Here’s everything you’ll get to experience at this year’s event:
- Purchase a smart irrigation controller (limit 1) for $60 plus tax, spray heads (limit 20) for $2 plus tax and nozzles (limit 20) for $.50 plus tax.
- Shop desert-adapted plants at the mini plant sale hosted by Desert Botanical Garden.

- Attend classes about rainwater harvesting and how to use the latest water-efficient irrigation technology.
- Learn about water conservation and management from SRP staff and other water professionals.
- Get a FREE Evolve showerhead that helps you waste less hot water, or receive an SRP reusable water bottle to stay hydrated (while supplies last).
How to purchase your irrigation products
Purchase a Hunter HPC-400 with Hydrawise® or a Rachio 3 Smart Sprinkler Controller and pair it with Rainbird Pop-up Sprinklers and HE-VAN nozzles. These products will be available for purchase at the expo on March 1, or you can prepurchase using the Ewing link provided in your registration confirmation email. All prepurchased controllers will be available for pickup at PERA on March 1 from 8 a.m. to noon by presenting a valid receipt (Ewing email confirmation). All orders must be picked up the day of the expo or they will be canceled.
Customers may only purchase one of the two available discounted controller options and there is a limit of one controller per household. Controllers are not for flood irrigation.

Classes at the expo
In this class, you’ll learn how to set up your controller, configure your app and connect to your Wi-Fi network. You will understand the different watering options available and see how your system uses the world’s most accurate local weather data to fine-tune irrigation according to site needs. Finally, you will learn how landscape contractors can enable remote system monitoring for ultimate peace of mind.
This class will provide instruction on installing the Rachio controller, configuring zones and using different schedule types. Additionally, you'll receive training on the Rachio app and how to update settings from your phone to ensure you’re irrigating efficiently.
Whether you plan on doing it yourself or hiring a professional, this class will teach you what to look for and the questions to ask before you start. Learn about key irrigation components, features, benefits and applications. Special emphasis will be placed on high-efficiency irrigation products. New this year will be a live water demo showcasing discounted products to those attending the SRP Water Conservation Expo. (Note: This class does not cover flood irrigation.)
Join us for an introduction to rainwater harvesting for desert landscapes. In this class, we will cover all the basic concepts, such as passive versus active systems, earthworks, tanks, planning and design. You will be on your way to planning your own rainwater harvesting project.
Did you know?
The expo is the largest one-day distribution of smart irrigation controllers in the nation. More than 11,000 smart controllers have been distributed over the past 17 years, which translates into an approximate water savings of about 1.7 billion gallons. This is based on the average household water use of 12,000 gallons per month before installation of a smart controller.
