Canceling permanent service
If you need to disconnect your permanent electric service, just log in to your SRP My Account™, fill out the Service Cancellation Form, and we'll take care of the rest. Please allow one working day’s notice (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays) for the disconnection to occur. If you do not have an SRP My Account, please call (602) 236-8833(602) 236-8833 weekdays from 7 a.m.–5 p.m., excluding holidays.
If you cancel your service before your deposit is returned, the deposit and any accrued interest will be applied to your final bill and any remainder will be refunded, as will any credit balance you may have. Please see our deposits and credit evaluations and current charges information.
Temporary disconnect of permanent service
If you require a temporary disconnect of service for your electrician to safely perform electrical work at your building, call the SRP Construction Contact Center at (602) 236-0777(602) 236-0777 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. At least 24 hours’ notice is needed for disconnection beyond those hours.
Please have the following information ready when you place your request for a temporary disconnect:
- Service address (including suite number if applicable)
- Specific reason for temporary disconnect
- Phone number
- Voltage
- What other customers are on the same transformer, if known
Please note: Times for temporary disconnects are not guaranteed, although SRP will make every effort to arrive at the location within one hour of the scheduled disconnect time. Power emergencies take priority over temporary disconnects.
After any work is done on a metered service, you must contact your city or county to schedule an inspection. SRP will need the name of the inspector if you are told that clearance is not needed.
Canceling temporary service
Please notify SRP 10 to 14 days in advance of when you need your temporary electric service disconnected.
If you remove your service before your deposit is refunded, the deposit and any accrued interest will be applied to your final bill and any remainder will be refunded, as will any credit balance you may have.
Just fill out the Service Cancellation Form and we'll take care of the rest. If you prefer to talk with a Business Center team member, call (602) 236-8833(602) 236-8833 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
