SRP Grants for Teachers

A bright tomorrow for Arizona begins with investing in education. That's why SRP provides more than $200,000 in direct classroom funding each year for Valley teachers through our Classroom Connections grants programs. Explore our grants below, and share this with a teacher you know!

Learning Grants

Learning Grants allow schools, teachers and students to develop projects and programs geared toward state-mandated competencies. Up to $5,000 is awarded per school and funds can be used to support innovative teaching strategies that improve student performance objectives in math and science. How to apply

Applications are accepted from Oct. 1, 2020 through Feb. 28, 2021 (Deadline extended for Learning Grants to March 31, 2021). All educators in metropolitan Phoenix, Pinal County, Gila County, Yavapai County, Page, St. Johns and NGS community chapters are eligible. Grant applications must be completed by a certified teacher.

History and Social Science Grants

History and Social Science Grants are awarded to help educators present academic content and teach skills in the interrelated disciplines of history, geography, civics, government, and economics. Grants are up to $2,500 per school. Read about how the 2019-20 recipients used their grant funds.

How to apply

Applications are accepted from Oct. 1, 2020 through Feb. 28, 2021 (Deadline extended for History and Social Science Grants to March 31, 2021). All educators in metropolitan Phoenix, Pinal County, Gila County, Yavapai County, Page, St. Johns and NGS community chapters are eligible. Grant applications must be completed by a certified teacher.

Powering Our Future Grants

$250 grants for attending any of the Powering Our Future sessions will return in spring 2021.

Powering Our Future Grants are for teachers of grades 4-12 to purchase supplementary materials and supplies to teach the hands-on components of the Powering Our Future curriculum. Each grant is up to $250 per teacher. Powering Our Future in-service workshops are offered regularly.

How to apply

Applications are accepted year-round from any educator who has completed a Powering Our Future workshop. Teachers must attend workshop before applying for the grant.

Corporate contributions
