M-Power payment codes and emergency credit

If a system issue should ever prevent SRP M-Power® customers from making purchases, SRP will issue an eCode. Once entered, an eCode will keep your power on for 24 hours.

On this page:

SRP may send eCodes by email. We’ll also make them available on our website and social media channels, as well as through our call center. The eCodes are good until midnight on the day they are issued.

    How to enter an eCode

    1. Press and hold the "Display Cycle" and "Select Language" buttons for five seconds. The message "Enter Code" will appear. (If the power is off, it will turn back on for 10 minutes while you enter the code.)
    2. Use the "Select Language" button to scroll through the numbers. Press the "Display Cycle" button to select the number and move to the next position. Make a mistake? Press both buttons for two seconds and release to move back to the previous number.
    3. Before you enter the last number, check that the numbers you’ve entered are correct. After entering the last number, you’ll see “eCode accepted” and power will be restored.

    Important tips

    • You have five tries to enter the code in 10 minutes. If the code is entered incorrectly five times, the meter may disconnect and you must wait one hour before trying again. You will be limited to five 10-minute periods every 24 hours.
    • If power is off while you enter an eCode, the M-Power display box will track how much energy you use during this time. Later, this amount will be displayed as “Accumulated Debt.” When you make your next purchase, the accumulated debt will be subtracted from your meter credit.
