Compensation/Salary

We offer competitive salaries based on experience and position. Your recruiter can fill you in on all the details of your desired position. SRP’s total compensation and benefits package is a robust offering beyond salary alone, which includes a retirement pension for all full-time employees.

Working at SRP

SRP is committed to applying the power of diversity, inclusion and belonging to build a more equitable and sustainable future for our customers, employees and community.

Our employees are the heart of this company, which is why we invest in them.

We’re committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, military status or any other protected status under applicable federal, state or local law.

Culture of safety

“Safety training is foundational to having a strong safety culture, and SRP wants you to have the knowledge, support and tools to work safely all day, every day, and create lasting safe habits whether you’re at work or at home."

– Chris Janick
Senior Director of Power Delivery and Safety Leadership Team Chair

SRP’s recreational marijuana policy

Being under the influence of marijuana can significantly impact an employee’s ability to safely perform their job. For this reason and pursuant to federal law, SRP considers marijuana to be an illegal drug. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in accordance with Arizona’s medical marijuana law, SRP does not discriminate against applicants or employees based on their status as a patient enrolled in a medical cannabis registry program.

Even if an individual’s use of marijuana is permissible under Arizona law, the use or possession of marijuana or being under the influence of marijuana on SRP property or while performing work for SRP is strictly prohibited.

SRP is one of the few employers that still offers a pension (at no cost to the employee)—that's additional retirement income on top of your regular benefits like a 401(k). All full-time employees are eligible to participate in the pension plan after one full year of service and will be fully vested after five years.

Wellness programs

SRP offers a variety of programs that support your well-being including sports leagues and recreation clubs, free health coaching and access to our private fitness center at PERA.

Mental health support

Your and your family’s mental and emotional health is as important as your physical health. SRP’s health plan offers many ways to find support including access to professional therapy and counseling resources.

Work-life balance

At SRP, we believe that balancing your work with everything else going on in life is key to your success and happiness. We organize fun activities and events outside work and provide access to private vacation home rentals at our lakeside facilities.

Career growth opportunities

Looking to grow in your career? We offer tuition assistance, mentorship opportunities and more. Grow your network by participating in Employee Resource Groups.

Perks for phones, cars and home

We offer mobile phone reimbursement and discount plans, as well as discounts on auto and home insurance.

Sustainability at work

SRP is always working toward a more sustainable future, and that includes the options we offer to our employees. Our offerings include bike-sharing programs, van pools, light rail and bus passes, composting at all our facilities and regular farmers market events at our corporate headquarters.

Active in the community

At SRP, we are proud to support the communities we serve. All employees have the opportunity to join local volunteer initiatives, charitable giving, and drive corporate funding for nonprofits through the Dollars for Doers grant program.
