Air quality requirements
Coolidge Generating Station is designed to meet stringent emissions standards and regulations set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Pinal County Air Quality Control District (PCAQCD).
Air quality permit
Coolidge Generating Station is authorized to operate under an air quality permit issued by Pinal County Air Quality Control District.
Monitoring the air quality at Coolidge Generating Station
All Coolidge units have continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) for monitoring unit emissions. Hourly data from the Coolidge Generating Stations CEMS are used to calculate 12-month rolling emissions.
Air quality and natural gas generating facilities
Coolidge Generating Station will comply with all air quality standards to protect public health and the environment. Learn more about the public process for the Certificate of Environmental Compatibility (CEC) with the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC).
